2 July 2019 – Malaysia 7s Under 18 team is ready for the 3rd Asian School Under 18 championship. The tournament is set to take place at the Educity Stadium, Nusajaya in Johor.
The 2 days championship will see 6 teams compete for the title. Malaysia is set to welcome Hong Kong, China, Guam, Singapore, and Thailand. Malaysia Under 18 team is under the management of Mr Helmi Md Isa (St. Micheal Secondary School) as the team manager.
Mohd Faiq Aslah bin Mohd Satar is set to lead the team. The former SMK Seri Mersing student who is currently studying in Kolej Professional MARA Bandar Penawar will be a valuable player for the team, having won the Asia Rugby 7s Under 18 title at the same stadium last December.
