3 May 2019 – Malaysia second test match this coming Sunday will be count as the World Ranking match. This is the very first time in the history that Malaysia will be playing in the test match that involved World Ranking points.

Malaysia is currently sitting on the 48th position on the World Ranking. Sri Lanka, on the other hand, 5 spots above Malaysia at the 43rd place. As for Asia team, Malaysia is 5th behind Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and Sri Lanka.

With not many matches is scheduled to take place this week, Malaysia could take this chance to climb up the World Ranking if they manage to secure a win against Sri Lanka.

Malaysia won the first test match against Singapore Select 33 – 24 last week, while Sri Lanka also recorded a comfortable 51 – 14 over Malaysia Barbarians last Thursday.

Malaysia vs Sri Lanka will take place at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium and is being scheduled to start at 8.00pm. Admission is free
